Dear Students & Families,
I am so happy to be writing this letter to you; fourth grade is right around the corner! I feel very lucky and fortunate to be able to spend fourth grade with the Smith College Pioneers!
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Ms. Arroyo. This is my fourth year at Erie School. I worked with Ms. Strauss in second and third grade as a Spanish teacher and taught 5th grade last year. In fact, I know many of the students in Smith College. This will be my ninth year of teaching. I have taught second, third, fourth and fifth grade. I have both my Bachelor's and Master's degree from Mississippi College. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. My Master's degree is also in Elementary Education.
Our Spanish teacher this year will be Ms. Deleon. She is the same teacher your child had last year. She will be in our classroom to teach Spanish forty minutes a day. You may contact her directly at ydeleon@eriecharterschool.org with any questions or concerns. Mrs. Kays will be our new music teacher. She will teach Music twice a week to our class on Mondays and Tuesdays. Gym class will be taught by Vero, our gym day will be on Wednesday.
Fourth grade is a fun and exciting time, but it is also very demanding. I have complete certainty that every child will work to their best potential and contribute wonderful insights to Smith College.
Please send your child's supplies to school on September 6th, labeled with his/her name. Please note that some supplies such as paper, erasers, and glue will be shared amongst the class as needed.

Queridos padres de familia,
Estoy muy contenta de escribir esta carta para ustedes; me siento muy contenta y afortunada de enseñar cuarto grado el salón de clases se llama Smith Collage.
Para los que no me conocen, mi nombre es señorita Arroyo. Este es mi cuarto año trabajando en la escuela Erie. He trabajado en segundo con la señora Strauss como maestro de español, el año pasado enseñé quinto grado, por tal razón conozco a casi todos los estudiantes de Smith Collage. Este será mi noveno año como maestra. He enseñado segundo, tercero, cuarto, y quinto año. Tengo un Bachillerato y una Maestria, las obtuve en el colegio de Mississippi. Mi maestría es en enseñanza de escuela elemental con una base de español y mi Bachillerato es de escuela elemental.
La maestra de español será la Señora Deleon. Es la misma maestra que tuvieron el año pasado. Ella enseñará español diariamente por 40 min. Pueden comunicarse directamente con ella para cualquier pregunta o comentario a ydeleon@eriecharterschool.org. La señorita Kays será la maestra de música, tendrán música los días lunes y martes. Deportes será dado por Verónica y será los martes.
Cuarto grado será divertido y emocionante, pero también será muy demandante, estoy segura de que cada estudiante tiene un gran potencial para aprender, de esa manera contribuirán algo al salón de Smith C.
Favor de enviar los útiles escolares el primer día de clases que será el 6 de septiembre poner el nombre de él o ella, algunos materials se compartirán en clase como el papel, resistol, borrador.
