Mission Statement

At the elementary level, it is critical to develop learners who explore, inquire and are able to work collaboratively to construct knowledge and develop skills. At EECS it is not enough to learn concepts from books and memorize facts. It is necessary to approach all content areas from both a foundation of discipline-specific knowledge and an inquiry-based, hands-on approach.

Assessment


An individual learning plan will be identified for each student at EECS.  Together, teacher, child, and parent will create an academic, social, and/or emotional goal for the year.  These goals will be identified at the end of the first month of school and progress will be reported at each report card parent teacher conference.

  • Testing will happen in September. Teachers will meet with parents the first week of October to set goal(s) for November.
  • Teachers will share progress of goals with parents at the report conference.
