Mission Statement

At the elementary level, it is critical to develop learners who explore, inquire and are able to work collaboratively to construct knowledge and develop skills. At EECS it is not enough to learn concepts from books and memorize facts. It is necessary to approach all content areas from both a foundation of discipline-specific knowledge and an inquiry-based, hands-on approach.

Parent Leadership Team

Parental involvement is essential to a child’s academic success and should be fostered from the beginning of your child's school experience. We believe that parents’ participation, volunteerism and leadership will enhance EECS’s atmosphere and encourage all parents to get involved.

Jessica Buleje, parent liaison to the staff, will work with interested parents in forming a Parent Leadership Team. Among the many activities of the Parent Leadership Team, this team of parents will elect one parent to represent their interests as a member of the board of directors.

There are so many ways for parents to get involved at EECS. Whether it is helping teachers out in the classroom or sharing a particular expertise with staff, or joining the Parent Leadership Team, your time is indispensable to us.
