BEYOND THE BOOKS: At EECS not all learning is done in a textbook--or even in the classroom! EECS students learn dances from their native cultures, visit local parks, build a garden and go on neighborhood walks.
-
THE ARTS AT ERIE CHARTER: Take a look at the wonderful creations of EECS students from our after school visual arts program. The program was new in 2009-2010, and will continue this year, made possible by another year of funding from the Springboard Foundation.
-
GOVERNOR PAT QUINN AT EECS!: Governor Pat Quinn visited EECS on January 20, 2010 to announce a $3.5 million capital grant for EECS to purchase a new building. Our new home has plenty of room to add 7th and 8th grade!
-
COLLABORATION AND CARE: It's not only the students and teachers who learn at EECS--parents, members of the board of directors and volunteers from the community all contribute to EECS' caring and collaborative school culture.
-
WALKING THE HALLS: Take a walk through the colorful halls of EECS and see our students hard at work in their classrooms.

SPIRIT WEEK 2010-2011: While it might just look like a bunch of crazy hair and crazy clothes, Spirit Week is an important and FUN time for students and teachers to come together.
