Welcome to the Gallery
Each year, EECS students, teachers and families take part in fun and educational activities both in and outside of the classroom. These activities bond the EECS community as they learn and grow together.
-
EECS OUT AND ABOUT: At EECS, the world is our classroom--the students attend Charter School Lobby Day in Springfield, visit pumpkin patches and play, explore and learn in the outdoors.
-
THE HALLS OF EECS: Take a walk through the colorful halls of EECS and see our students hard at work in their classrooms.
-
OUR COMMUNITY OF LEARNERS: At EECS our students are always learning something--from their teachers, their parents and each other.
-
GROWING AND LEARNING: Many of our students have been at EECS since we opened our doors in 2005. Next year, our first class will be in 5th grade! We are so proud of our students growing and learning through the years.
-
BEYOND THE BOOKS: Last year, the EECS 4th grade (now the 5th grade) cultivated a garden to learn about the life cycle. They measured, learned from and even ate their creations! Now they are getting ready to plant and start all over again...
-
THE ARTS AT ERIE CHARTER: Take a look at the wonderful creations of EECS students from our after school visual arts program. The program was new in 2009-2010, made possible by a grant from the Springboard Foundation.
-
GOVERNOR PAT QUINN AT EECS!: Governor Pat Quinn visited EECS on January 20th, to announce a $3.5 million capital grant for EECS to purchase a new building. Our new home will have plenty of room to add 6th, 7th and 8th grade!
